I really like GT6, its a great game just like the previous editions. The driving dynamics are amazing and the feel for the cars is great. But it feels like its just missing something. Maybe its the fact that you dont get a prize car after winning every race cup, maybe its the removal of the used car dealership. I'm not really sure, it just seems a little more serious than the last one, but not in a good way. Maybe I'm alone here, but its just something I noticed.

Yeah I miss the used car dealership. But I don't feel that anything is missing from the game except that. Maybe I've not played enough.

Yup I feel the same. Not exciting enough, even for a sim.

Overall, I love it. But agreed, I have been sort of put off by the lack of prize cars. My 9 year old played through the first bit and finished the early races, I kept telling him prize cars were coming after each series win. They didn't come!

GT6 was a chance for PD to refresh the car roster's statistics, roll out new physics (tire and suspension) and menu systems.
There were a lot of anomalies like out of whack weight distributions, odd PP calculations and whatnot, all throughout GT5. Most seem to be fixed.
It also seems to be a test run for their new menu and game progression system, which is better, but needs work still. Single player is more easily digestible. Good for the casual gamer, but for the seasoned GT racer it feels a little thin.
Paint chips are now permanently collected rather than only being good for one use. Engine break-in can be skipped by changing the oil immediately. This makes online league racing and competitions much easier to manage. Used to be you had to put 300km on a car to get it to peak hp.
All cars being available brand new is also a boon to online competitors, but I think they could have kept the used car dealership too.
It shows they're learning, and that they're preparing for a big GT7 on the PS4.

It seems like there is no good progression. Also, I have to keep detuning my stock vehicles to creat some challenge.

You're the first person I've heard miss the used car dealership.
I thought it was one of the worst things about 5. You have all these cars in this game and if I want a specific one I have to wait until I've won the car lottery?
You (Polyphony) bitches got me twisted.

I found that to be kind of fun. When you click that button you never know what you will find, that and it is cheaper to buy cars there.

I'm a grown ass man. I don't have time for that.
